Why Working Harder Is Not Fixing Your Results and What Will
I want to introduce you to an image I use with every client I work with.
You are a hose.
The tap at one end is your effort. Your action. Your consistency. The things you do every day to build the business and create the results you want.
The other end of the hose is where the results come out. The clients. The income. The growth.
Now imagine the tap is fully on.
You are showing up. Posting. Following the strategy. Doing what you said you would do. Being consistent and disciplined and committed.
You go to the end of the hose.
Almost nothing comes out.
What do you do next?
Most people do what every coach, every course, every productivity system has told them to do.
Turn the tap up higher.
Work harder. Post more. Add more strategy. Create more content. Be more consistent. Invest in a bigger program. Build a bigger audience.
More water into the hose.
But here is what I have learned coaching high-achieving women who are already doing the work.
More water into a kinked hose does not fix the kink.
It just builds pressure.
And pressure without flow is the definition of exhaustion.
What a kink actually is
A kink is something in the middle of the hose that is blocking the flow.
You cannot see it from the tap end by measuring how hard you are working.
You cannot see it from the results end by measuring how much is coming out.
You find it by backtracking. By following the hose from where nothing is flowing back toward the source until you find exactly where it is bent.
And here is what I find almost every time.
The kink is not strategic.
It is not a posting schedule problem or a funnel problem or an offer problem.
It is a belief. A pattern. A way of holding on or shutting down or protecting yourself that made complete sense at some point in your life and is now bending the hose right in the middle of your best efforts.
The five kinks I find most often
Over the next five weeks I am going to walk you through the five most common kinks I find in the women I coach. Each one is real. Each one is costing real women real income right now. And each one is clearable.
Kink one is gripping the outcome so tightly that nothing can flow through. Wanting the client so badly the wanting itself creates a tension people feel. Needing the income so desperately that the need blocks the flow.
Kink two is speaking a language your ideal client cannot yet hear. Showing up powerfully and consistently but using words that land in the wrong place. Speaking to the transformation before they have named the problem.
Kink three is carrying the emotional weight of whether it works. Holding yourself responsible for outcomes that belong partly to someone else. Over-delivering before anyone asked. Taking on the burden of results that require another person's participation.
Kink four is hiding in the places that feel safe instead of showing up where it matters. Backend busy work instead of visible action. Teaching without being seen. Presence that costs nothing instead of visibility that requires everything.
Kink five is stopping right before the flow starts. Interpreting the lag time between action and result as evidence that nothing is working. Pulling back consistency right when it was about to compound.
Why this matters more than strategy
I work with women who have strategy. They have courses and coaches and content plans and they are implementing consistently.
And they are exhausted. And their results do not match their effort.
Because the kinks are not in their strategy.
They are in the beliefs running underneath the strategy.
And no amount of better strategy will straighten a kinked hose.
You have to find the kink first.
That is the work I do. And it is why the results shift faster than my clients expect. Not because we worked harder. Because we found exactly where the hose was bent and cleared it there.
The flow was always available.
The kink was just in the way.
